My GERD has widely ceased and has left me so confused.

Hiya! I was diagnosed with GERD/early onset Barrett’s earlier this year after a year spout with intense stomach pain and crazy acid reflux. My initial gut instinct says it was caused by high doses of NSAIDs for my lower back which has since resolved.

For reference I’m on Pantoprazole 40mg twice a day since October of last year. PPIs did help in reduce my acid reflux but didn’t resolve the pain wrapping from my lower chest to my back. I made significant life changes in terms of diet and exercise and have seen a crazy change in the past month.

For the past 4ish weeks I’ve had zero pain, and very minimal acid reflux (my diet is catered towards what works for me and what doesn’t). One thing I attributed to this was completely cutting off coffee and caffeine, however, I had a coffee yesterday morning for the first time in a month and a half and lo and behold no acid reflux??

Has anyone experienced anything similar in regards to a sudden stop of symptoms?
