Bravia 7 - best audio settings using an AVR and 5.1 speakers.
I’m generally pretty confused about the proper settings for my setup, and I’d like to get things all set so I can have the best possible experience.
My setup is:
Denon S960H AVR connected to the eARC on the Bravia 7. 5.1 speakers are connected to the AVR. All external devices are connected to the AVR via HDMI (all current game consoles and one streaming device, though I use the internal streaming apps on the B7).
I have eARC set to auto and digital audio set to auto. Not sure if there are other audio settings relevant to me that I’ve missed. I don’t recall what I have the AVR set to aside from usually using “Movie” mode and depending on the content, setting it to DD+ and DSurround (I think that’s what it says on the display).
Is this the way that I should have it? Or should I be using passthrough? PCM? I like to have the best audio quality possible with immersive surround sound, and I really really like to get the audio to be as in sync as possible—any delay at all drives me nuts and I always notice it.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
