Small Claims Court? - EBay UK holding funds >180 days (215 and counting….).

Based in England.

Long story short, I sold a high value item on EBay that is a fully completed transaction in Dec 2024.

My account got permanently suspended citing “risks” to the community. EBay put a hold on my payouts for 180 days (apparently the norm). I accepted the ban and even the 180 days. It’s now been 215 days with no payout and I am going in circles with customer support, getting different answers each time - from “you account is suspended, you can’t do anything, eBay are holding the money in accordance with the law”……to “yes, there’s a problem, I need to escalate this and you’ll hear back in 24 to 48 hours”…then nothing.

EBay have held £2250 of my money for 215 days, with no explanation and customer support won’t help.

It’s a legitimate transaction. No fraud. No money laundering or any other kind of illegal activity. Happy buyer, no complaints.
