Current Affairs for CLAT
Cursorily chanced upon a post on this sub asking for current affairs recommendations. (The person in the post was reading Vision IAS current affairs!)
I can understand the anxiety about current affairs- they're dynamic and seemingly unending.
But relying on vision IAS is very counterintuitive- the purpose and scope of those magazines is very different. I can attest to this, because I am preparing for the Civil services!
Current affairs for CLAT is very factual, unlike upsc which expects analysis and opinion based application.
The competition is intense, spend your time wisely, with surgical precision.
Simply put, stick to the current affairs compendium specifically made for CLAT, if your coaching has one.
Remember, instead of relying on multiple sources of current affairs, Revise. Revise. Revise.
Make your own notes, preferable flash cards and revise them periodically. Active recall and spaced repetition are name of the game.
If you have extra time on your hands, spend it on sharpening quantitative aptitude. Do not commit the cardinal blunder of not giving the section it's due respect. This is the section where people who appear for CLAT after failing JEE will edge you out in the final list.
Happy Studying!
