What's the point of the Phone 3?

People keep comparing the Phone 3 to other boring flagships while completely failing to see that the actually competing against it's own predecessors. What's the point of buying a Phone 3 when you can get almost the same deal with the Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro? You get the Nothing software and a unique looking phone, with nearly the same specs minus a gimmick, photos are even better in some instance for the 3a Pro. They could've slapped more Storage and Memory to the 3a Pro along releasing it in the US and called that the Phone 3. Meanwhile the Glyph Matrix could've been baked first into their accessories lineup to display info and have the various play options further adding to their personality. Something perfect for showing it off and a party trick/wow factor along still letting create more functionalities for it. They could've holded into the idea for the Phone 4 while having it more developed and integrated into their system, instead of forcing it immediately with the Phone 3 and holding onto a old design that they didn't want to let go. The phone is pointless, there was no reason into releasing apart for slapping a larger price for something that was already available and some testing with the PCB, they should've sticked with nothing (pun intended) and let those ideas cook for longer.
