Glasto Changed My Outlook on Crowds Forever, Thank You, Strangers in the Rain.
Before Glasto, I used to absolutely dread big crowds, the stress, the jostling, the general overstimulation. But this year was different.
On Saturday, the heavens opened just as I got separated from my mates near West Holts. I was soaked, phone battery nearly dead, and honestly on the verge of a panic spiral. Then, magic. A group of total strangers saw me shivering, pulled me into their tarp circle without hesitation, and handed me a cup of warm cider like I’d always been part of the gang.
We didn’t even exchange names, just stories, songs, and laughter for an hour until the rain cleared. I left feeling genuinely changed, reminded that kindness can come from absolutely anywhere. Now I’m counting down to next year.
Anyone else have those random, heart healing moments with strangers at Glasto?
