Experience with CareFirst national plans (BluePreferred vs BlueChoice)

Hi all - my employer is based in DC but I live in Colorado and am trying to decide between BlueChoice and BluePreferred for CareFirst coverage outside of DC. I've been told that BluePreferred is the bigger network nationally but I'm only seeing Silver plan options. I could get a Gold BlueChoice option but I'm not sure if that's smart if Preferred is the bigger network. Appreciate any insights. Thanks!
