"man"kasa

why do people say that Mikasa was "masculine" or "manly" in season 4? she had short hair, sure, but that doesn't really mean she "looks like a man". Women can easily have short hair and her facial features are all relatively the same as before. She isn't as "cute" I suppose but she's an adult now, so obviously she isn't going to look like a child. It just feels so stupid to me when people get angry or upset because she "looks manly" when she very much doesn't. She's muscular but again she is a grown woman and also in the military, why wouldn't she be??? Her being overly feminine would make less sense in context since she is an adult soldier
