People who think they’re good conversationalists/easy to talk to, but really they just talk a lot.
I hung out with my wife and her friend this weekend, and her friend met a guy and it kind of turned into a double date. She yammered on the whole time about assorted random things, and the guy could barely get a word in.
Afterwords when the guy left and it was just the three of us, she kept saying that he was difficult to talk to and not contributing to the conversation. We had to tell her that the guy was litterally trying, he was asking questions about you that you just blew right past, he was trying to get funny quips in, you were just talking a mile a minute, not asking any personal questions, and not making any effort to try to talk about something he may be interested in. She litterally talked for like 15 minutes about love island, after all three of us said we hadn’t seen it…
She’s a great person and she will find somebody for her for sure, I just get frustrated when people like her consider themselves “easy to talk to” just because they talk a lot… there’s a rhythm to a conversation, there’s should be a push and pull and a curiosity in what the other person has to say, not just a wall of words spewed in somebodies direction.
