Apartment is saying the issue is our blinds being open. I’m afraid there’s a bigger issue.

I live in Texas where we often see +100° days. I can’t recall ever being in a position where our apartments HVAC wasn’t able to cool down our apartment to where we like it at 69°

Lately we’ve noticed our AC is running 24/7 and is unable to get to 69°. Our AC has run all day long at the best it’s gotten to is 71°. Maintenance said the issue was the blinds being open. As today was a hot day at 90°, I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt but now it’s 80° outside because a thunderstorm has moved in for the past hour and the temp reads 72° now.

Am I crazy? It feels like something is wrong.
