You expect me to fly and break the sound barrier?
Staff who get floated will relate to this. My shift was changed because the facility was full, basically a regular staff took overtime over us travel nurses. No big deal, I decided to take a different hospital which is a walking distance from my residence. Arrived, start taking report fast and proper, then the bed management called and ordered me through charge nurse to [the male charge nurse tried to say they need me and can't float] to go to the other hospital because a unit was short then promptly ended the call. Wtf!? I came to the 1st hospital walking and that Karen bed manager can't even talk to me about going to the other hospital without transportation. I asked the Charge Nurse to call her again and tell her that I came to the 1st hospital walking from my residence and that it will take an hour at most going back to the residence and use my vehicle to get to the 2nd hospital. If there's no transportation I won't be moving, luckily she relented I got a transport going there but not before making an angry letter to the management and other persons of the situation. They cancelled my shift, I applied to a different and closer unit then expected me to fly like superman on hyperspeed?!
