Everdeen Family theory

Spoiler tag because I'll be discussing Mr. Everdeen.

Burdock. Katniss. Primrose.

You know who else had plant themed names? Spruce, and his sister Lil (could have been short for Lilly, Lilac, etc). These two were also close with the Chance family, and the whole group were known rebels. No other characters from 12 have plant names, which I also find interesting (Except for Buttercup, but he's still an Everdeen 😂).

A quick Google search also told me that an Asterid is "a large clade of flowering plants". So, not a specific plant, but a group of plants/a plant type. So while she doesn't have a specific plant name, she's still tied into that theme, thought that was clever.

I also find it convenient that Spruce and Lil's last name was never mentioned in TBOSAS, given that all of the other rebels mentioned in the book were all called by their first and last names/had them revealed.

I'm wondering if Burdock is a relative of Spruce and Lil, which would be neat because it would take the rebel family ties even further back.

Just something I noticed/fun speculation and I was wondering if anyone else had ever noticed and wondered this as well.
