Book Club Suggestion

I’ve always wanted to start a small book club. Not the ones where everyone would read the same book and discuss. I don’t believe in it as people have different reading interests and preferences.

My idea is to have a book club where people discuss what they are currently reading, any interesting fact they have come across, what is something new they learned and exchange ideas. More like a knowledge sharing platform.

Do you guys think it makes sense? I don’t know how to go about it. I am not even sure if anyone around me reads. I live in Mumbai. Please advice.

Edit: I would ideally like to have an in-person meet up. If anyone is interested in something like this please let me know. Location would be between South Mumbai and Bandra.
