CFB26 Ultimate Dynasty Team Selection Guide
Hey there CFB26 fans... are you looking to answer the age old question "which team should I pick for my CFB dynasty?".... well look no further!
Now that CFB26 is out I updated my prior CFB25 Ultimate Dynasty Team Selection Guide (link here) with all of this years data, including:
- Team Prestige
- My School grades
- OVR, DEF & OFF grades
- Pipeline strength rating (retained from CFB25 for now)
- Two new FBS Schools (Delaware & Missouri St) [I added them as the lowest two ranked pipelines for the moment]
Here is the link to this year's doc: CFB26 Ultimate Dynasty Team Selection Guide
The google doc is only viewable and thereby can't be filtered or sorted but I recommend downloading the file as an excel doc so that you can filter and sort teams as desired.
Whether you're looking for a specific prestige rating, stadium size, team roster/overall rating (off & def), a specific my school grade or an average of all the combined my school grades this doc has it all.
Whether you're looking for the ultimate rags to riches rebuild, a middle of the road team, or the ultimate powerhouse... I hope this helps you choose your new dynasty school wisely! Best of luck!
Some interesting notes and/or things I learned as I tackled this years updates:
- This uses team/roster data from initial release (7/7/2025)... I'll do my best to review & edit when/if updates impact team overalls and/or my school grades
- I left the recruiting pipeline rankings untouched from last year's guide. I will try to research whether the team pipelines have changed at all from last year at a later point & update if needed.
- Not a single school's Campus Lifestyle grade changed
- Most schools Academic Prestige changed slightly (some not so slightly)
- There were a handful of drastic (1 star or more) prestige changes
- There were far more lower my school grades (D's and F's) this year compared to last
- Overall team grades are spread over a much wider range than last year (as EA said they would be)
- Keep in mind Athletic Facilities grades now impact player progression
