Seeking oven replacement advice.
Hello,
First time homeowner here looking for advice replacing a recently inoperable wall-in oven.
I moved into an apartment in an old building which was renovated about 20yrs ago. Following an unfortunate "electrical event" the motherboard of my oven got fried according to the technician I got to service it. He recommended replacing the oven since finding a replacement would be difficult.
Main issue is that the oven (bosch hbl 745 AUC-02) is an under the counter wall-in oven with surrounding wooden paneling and has a nonstandardized size by modern standards (30'' wide, 23'' H, 24'' D). The gas stove top is above the oven and separate with a stone counter top surrounding. Because of new building codes, we do not want to touch the gas stovetop as it is grandfathered in and works fine.
Questions are:
-
any way to find the niche replacement part for the current oven in this day and age?
-
any reputable retailers that would carry old ovens that may fit the current cut out?
-
any advice in approaching redoing the cutout to fit a modern 30'' oven (H is about 6 inches more than current) without redoing the stove top?
any other unanticipated advice is wholeheartedly welcome.
thanks
