Do you have a Rheumatologist?

Question

Seeking guidance: My 24 year old daughter was just diagnosed celiac.

The Celiac Foundation site says that there is a 35% chance of developing more autoimmune disorders in Celiac cases diagnosed after 20.

I am a seropositive RA/Shogren's & Fibro sufferer myself, but she is adopted, not my child by birth so nothing genetic that we know of. I am net new to Celiac, but my first instinct as an autoimmune dx myself is to get her to a Rheumatologist and go through a work-up.

How does this work? Do we treat this like an autoimmune disorder? Im just not experienced in this particular chronic illness.

THANK YOU.
