[KCD2] what’s the connection between Godwin and Henry?

I find it interesting that Godwin is the only other character you play as besides Henry. Could this be a hint at a future game where Godwin is the protagonist? I love his character but I wonder what other reason could there be for the game having sections where you play as him. My main hope is for a prequel where we can play as him during the battle of Kosovo.
