How to become a therapist
Hi, I was trying to kind of plan out what to do with life with regards to profession n the field I should do and I'm extremely confused on how one actually becomes a therapist. If I do masters in psychology (not RCI approved) or MSc Psychosocial rehabilitation (this one is RCI approved), what next? Can i automatically give therapy? Don't i need certifications in specific modalities of counselling or therapies like CBT, DBT, ACT, EAT, or whatever to actually be able to provide therapy?
Please help coz I'm extremely confused abt how one becomes a credible therapist and all the courses i saw were extremely expensive with regards to certifications of specific therapy. Do I really need to spend so much money in the starting? Is it worth it?
