Normal bloodwork

Long time lurker, first time posting here. (Besides the daily IWNDWYT). I’ve been a heavy weekend drinker for the majority of my adult life. Nothing really weekdays, but had 6-12 drinks most Fridays and Saturdays.

I turned 40 in January, so I scheduled a physical because I was curious about my overall health. I really wanted to get bloodwork done to finally see that I was hurting myself with booze and would get the wake up call I needed to stop drinking.

The soonest appointment I could get in January was for today…. That’s a story/issue for another sub. I decided to stop drinking mid June. I’ll post another day about my rock bottom reason why.

My blood work came back today and every number was in the normal range. Kidneys, liver, triglycerides… everything. I don’t know what my numbers would have been had I been drinking as heavily up until my appointment today, but it probably would have been mediocre at best.

Im so thankful for this good news. IWNDWYT
