Air Purifiers for Darkroom Use?

Hey all,

I'm currently in the process of setting up a home darkroom. In my smaller tests with home developing film, I've noticed dust on my negatives that is almost impossible to get rid of (granted my house is somewhat dusty).

Would an air purifier mitigate this issue or just be a waste of money? Thanks!
