Been a PA at Amazon for 3 years about to start as a police officer. Is it worth it?

Hey everyone, I’ve been a Process Assistant at Amazon for the past 3 years. I’ve learned a lot and grown with the company, but now I’m about to start working as a police officer something I’ve been working toward for a while.

That said, I’m debating whether I should take a leave from Amazon instead of quitting outright. The company is still helping pay for my school, and I’m wondering if it’s smarter to keep that benefit while I transition.

Has anyone else been in a similar spot or made a big career change while keeping a foot in the door at Amazon? Is it worth it to hang on to the job/benefits for a bit longer, or better to just go all-in on law enforcement?

Any advice or experiences would help a lot.
