Sugar scalp scrub on locs?

I am clearing out some of my hair products from when I had loose natural hair. I came across the Never Salty sugar scrub from Taraji's hair care brand. Do any of you use scrubs for your scalp still? I did a quick search engine run and I found some professional locticians that offer scalp scrub services. It's also mentioned on the Cercred website under their loc maintenance guide.
