When to reply online friend who’s busy lately

I became online friends with someone since a few months ago on Reddit. We’ve messaged each other daily and then slowly within a few days as our messages got longer and longer. We switched to emailing each other now and have also exchanged phone numbers. We sometimes send short messages via text. She told me she’s been very busy lately (since about 2 weeks ago) and replies my text message sometimes every other day. I reply when I can, which is always the same day as when I receive her text. Is it appropriate to continue texting her as is, or should I give her space and text back around the same pace as her?
