Watch 2R AoD brightness

Hey all, I am contemplating getting the Watch 2R, but I have a question about the AoD brightness. I have a couple of Samsung watches, and the AoD is sufficiently bright to see the watchface without the need to wake the watch. Same for my Pixel Watch 2. But I also have the Ticwatch Pro 5 and the AoD (in smart mode, not essential mode) is barely visible. Which leads me to wonder where the Watch 2R falls is this regard.
