seeking weather web site that explains the forecast

Hi,

I'm looking for a US weather web site that explains the local conditions and the local forecast in terms of weather patterns and weather phenomenon so a reader can understand why the weather is doing what it is doing at the current time in the local area.

If you can suggest a site I would be really grateful if you would include a link that does what I am asking for some location.

I've checked the main sites and for some reason I am not finding this.
