Wired non-gaming (office work) headphones with mic that can also be used for gaming
My boss is offering to get me a headset/headphones for use in meetings and he straight up told me I could use them for personal use as well.
I would like something that is:
- Wired and has a microphone.
- Isn't L33T HARDCORE GAMER! stylized (no neon or weird shape), needs to fit in with a white collar office setting.
- Around $200 or less (can perhaps go a little bit higher if need be, like up to $225, but preferably at close to $200 that or less).
- Can be purchased from the CDW website: https://www.cdw.com/ (they're our company's vendor).
- The hardest part (at least for me to find): Needs to NOT degrade audio quality when the mic is in use, as I would like to use them for gaming and not have the game sound terrible and low quality while talking to friends at the same time. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile but I would like, say, foot steps in a game like Counter-Strike to be discernable hopefully.
I was originally thinking of either the Logitech Zone Wired or the Poly Blackwire 8225 but after looking into both, users say that the audio quality goes way down while the mic is in use.
Is there any way to avoid this without getting a set specifically marketed for gaming? Am I delusional with my criteria lmao?
