Diamond (solo queue) getting matched with silvers

I understand based on region and player count you can’t always squad up with people equal to or better than you, but I am currently hard stuck in diamond due to lackluster teammates.

I’m constantly matched with a bunch of cherry-picking, anime-dp having, “good job!” spamming silvers who call me garbage for asking them to pass.

The game has some difficult mechanics, I get it, but the rate of people who are completely clueless when it comes to position and ball movement is absolutely staggering to me. Why are there so few sports folks playing this game? I’ve queued with MAYBE a handful of people with sports related names (euro soccer, or hockey) who i instantly had faith in - and was not disappointed. But the number of uwu gods blows me away. OBVIOUSLY an incredibly small sample size, but man, the general community is toxic af, and is not a place to try and restore faith in humanity.
