Animal shelters/Rescues that aren’t anti-apartment living?

Pets

Hey y’all, I’ll might get some disagreements on this, and that’s okay. But I’m posting in hopes that there will be some who understand. I live in an apartment and I’m finding it difficult to a find a dog to adopt because the shelters and rescues I’ve communicated with so far seem to be really strict about what dogs they’ll let live in an apartment versus a home. I understand where they’re coming from, but I’m fairly active and I’ve had dogs in my apartment before and have found as long as you take them for plenty of long walks and hikes and car rides and provide them with proper stimulation while in the apartment, they do just fine regardless of the size. Some dogs do better in a house because they are more easily triggered by other dogs and lots of noise and people so I understand why those dogs wouldn’t be a good fit for me. But I even recently got denied for a senior dog that was quite small because I don’t have a backyard so I’m feeling a little discouraged. Wondering if anybody has had a positive experience with any of the local shelters or rescues that aren’t super anti-apartment? (Bonus points if they want less than $500-$800 to adopt.) Thanks, everybody!
