Switch pro controllers dropping inputs after system update

Per the title. Today, i finally acquired a Micro SD expression for my switch2. After installing it, system said it needed to update to use it. (Weird, since my system was already up to date as of this morning)

Since that update, all of my switch pro controllers have been unusable, dropping about half of all inputs. Anybody seen this happen/ can recommend a fix? I already tried resyncing the controllers, and the system says their firmware is up to date. Not really sure what else to try, and the input test clearly has the inputs missed (press a button 3 times, get one or two in the test, for example)
