Relationship or Secondhand Hermes

I’m very conflicted on how to get my dream Hermes bag. I have told my husband that I want a birkin 30 or a mini Kelly as my push present (not having kids for another 2 years but he’s known for ages, it started as a joke but we’ve become quite financially stable and now he’s happy to splurge lol).

He’s got a lot of ideas like going to Paris entering the lottery, trying in stores around Europe that carry more stock etc. I am more realistic and realise our best options are either building a relationship with an SA or buying a bag secondhand. I would prefer the relationship with the SA since I have the time but I have heard so many stories of people not liking SAs or not getting the bags they want.

So I am wondering if we should just go through the secondhand market (most likely in Japan) and purchase through there?

What would be your suggestions?
