Daily Work
Hello all,
I have made a few different attempts at Spiral review pages for my students to practice skills before the main lesson but, even when the pages are differentiated at their level, my students take quite some time to finish and it usually cuts into the lesson time as they also struggle with transitioning despite daily practice and support. My students all will have individualized binders of independent work based on their IEP goals but I want to have something quick for them to practice various skills throughout the year.
In their gen ed classes, most of the teachers have a daily ELA and Math page but even 5 problems can be a bit much for some of my students, especially my students who are defiant or reluctant learners.
I am trying something simpler this year and decided to cut up the Spiral review pages into small math and ELA sections and sort them by levels for the students to do daily "Snapshots" of their learning and understanding.
How do you incorperate daily ( and differentiated) work into your routine in a way to support your students' learning and still helps you stay on schedule?
