Solo for Marina!!!!

Hi friends! :) Just here to yap! I am getting hyped for Lolla! I screamed when I saw Marina on the lineup… she is one of my favorite artists and on my bucket list to see live! Going solo literally just to see her… bc that’s the cuntissimo thing to do 🤌

25F Chicagoan here 😎 This will be my third time at Lolla, and my first time attending solo! I did attend a good chunk of Sunday in 2023 solo tho— Red Hot Chilli Peppers was my bf’s non-negotiable and Lana was mine, so we went our separate ways 💔 That was my first ever solo concert experience, I was a little nervous about it. I made some pretty good mileage through the crowd, but I was more worried about being near the exit, so I was on the more congested side of the Bud Light stage, and I didn’t get as good of a view as I would have hoped. I’m naturally pretty introverted, so I just quietly stood there hitting my penjamin the whole time and didn’t talk to anyone lol 🧍‍♀️ I was standing near a group of teens who were too cool for me but they were fun to listen to! I was vibing, just lil old me! Ugh and I mean c’mon it’s LANA DEL REY her setlist was so good she played so many of my favs! I left in the middle of the last song, but my bf left RHCP wayyyy before that, so he could meet me outside the Bud Light exit ❤️🥹

Anyways, I was a little apprehensive to go at all this year bc all my homies are busy :( Bf has work and a good chunk of my besties are going to Hinterland. But, my previous solo snippet has equipped me with the confidence to conquer a full day alone so I can see MARINA! 💎 Also, last year I went to a Salt Shed concert solo! So that experience was helpful as well. I made the decision to go to Lolla slightly after Saturday GA was sold out in March, but joined the waitlist. Got accepted about a month ago let’s gooooo 🤪 Wristband has not been delivered yet but I have my email confirmation so I’m not too worried about it. I don’t mind waiting in line at will call for a bit, since no one will be waiting on me… I am a princess of power, and I’m going to make Lolla my world!!! 👑

Any other Diamonds or Saturday solo attendee girlies out there? Any fun solo Lolla hacks/advice to help me make the most out of my day? I want to try to maybe make some friends this time instead of being aloof! I’ll be camping out at T-Mobile all day to get a good view for Marina (and Doechii!!) and then I’ll play it by ear if I wanna go to Twice, stay for Rufus, or go home (red line is a shit show so best to get ahead).

Stay safe out there! Keep your city girl safety mode ACTIVATED ✅🌃 Head on a swivel, stay aware and know your limits with substances (especially solo), keeping belongings close to you (fanny pack does the trick for me), I love wearing sunglasses bc it prevents any unwanted/accidental eye contact lol… don’t engage if you get bad vibes from a potential interaction, and remove yourself from any situation you have a bad feeling about. Your instincts are usually right, and if not, better safe than sorry.
