They keep inventing new ways to promote consumerism!

I keep hearing more and more about these stupid things on TikTok that people feel entitled to get. I've heard of "brr baskets" in the winter for kids, when Christmas already exists. I've heard of "push presents" for expecting moms, even though they already have baby showers. And every lifestyle tiktoker feels the need to completely redecorate their home with each season.

Don't get me started on the stupid shit people are expected to spend money on for weddings. Engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, wedding gifts, bridesmaid dresses, a bunch of other crap I dont even know about. It's all so stupid and unnecessary!
