Be wary of DDOS'ing

For some reason, every time someone brings this up people gaslight them, idk what that's about. But, by firsthand account you can get DDOS'd playing this game. Starting off, I'm cybersecurity certified by CompTIA so i think i know a little about what I'm talking about. I was playing masterduel, about to go for game, when suddenly my internet went offline, so I go to restart my internet, didn't change anything. So, I already suspect I've been DDOS'd the timing is quite convient otherwise. I call my ISP and had it confirmed that i had a type of DOS attack against my network. Now, I have a no clue how that could be possible because the game isn't P2P? So, maybe i was randomly attacked and it was just really coincidental timing?? Hopefully that would not be good news to know masterduel somehow leaks IP when its server based. Either way, stay safe use a VPN, and just have a good day!
