Clementine eyes
She is dangerous for me Not in the way i might hurt myself by getting too close But in the way that i might fall in love if i let her in
Shes so soft i might not cut myself on her rounded words A grand opposite of what i am used to I can listen to her ramble on and on Without being pierced by stray arrows from her lips
Her lips Oh joy, how they spread into a thin line And curl up at the corners Before breaking into beautiful ivory ingots That reflect the very sun itself And cast rays of light into my soul
Her very soul is the moon A quiet and constant motion through the night That holds me close and squeezes me with reassurances that she is still here for me And that the darkness may not grab hold of my wretched thoughts
She shoos them away Like mosquitoes on a hot july evening That whine past your ears to scream Im still here! You shant forget me! But i do forget For a shaking moment of relief in her arms My thoughts are still and sweet Only of her citrus perfume and clementine eyes
Oh how dangerous those eyes
