Launching new JW conspiracy theories
I'm just having a bit of fun with this one. When I was a kid there were a number of talks, articles, etc that I heard that would mention people who messed with JWs and died later. I remember one was a Nazi and his death wasn't very peaceful as I recall....although dying years laater doesn't seem to be connected with J-daddy doing anything about it but, I guess his view of time is different than our own right? There are also tons of JW rumors about other people dying or being divinely punished for similar reasons.
So, I decided to start my own conspiracy theory.
Let's examine the big three JW leaders shall we?
Pastor Russell - died from cystitis - aged 64
Joseph Franklin Rutherford - uraemia due to carcinoma of the rectum due to pelvic metastasis - aged 72
Nathan Knorr - died from a cerebral tumor - aged 72
These great and holy men, most of which claimed a form of divinity or abilty to speak with God, weren't able to have natural deaths. Evidently, this is because Jehovah's "anger" flared against them (Levitcus 23:35; 2 Peter 13:15). Therefore it would not be unreasonable for a true Christian to conclude that Jehovah struck them down with disease.
Now let us consider Frederick Franz. He lived to the age of 88, but still died of a brain hemorrhage. What lesson can we learn? Well evidently, God's perfect sense of justice would not allow him to not punish Fred Franz for his role as member of the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses. Yet, we can see Jehovah's mercy as well. Apparently, adding an additional 16 years to his lifespan, something no man can do himself (Genesis 23:46), was a gift from the one who "causes to become" due to his leaving "the Great Harlot" (Exodus 3:14; Revelations 21:4). Truly we are blessed to have such a kind and caring creator!
