Mazda platinum shield protection

I live in the Greater Toronto Area(GTA), and they use salt to clean the roads in the winter. The dealer offered this Platinum shield protection which includes both exterior and interior protection with a 10 yr warranty. I am wondering what other CX-90 owners will choose to do. This will be my first Mazda, so I don't know how well they handle salt on the roads.
