BIOS shows "Not Present" for the SSD my OS is installed on...
If this is the wrong sub for this kind of thing, please let me know which one is and I'll delete this post and ask there!
I just got back from a two week vacation, during which my PC was powered off, and had previously been working just fine. I turned my PC on when I got home, only to have it boot to the BIOS, which is telling me that SATA_1 is not present. I have no idea why it did this, especially after not being messed with the entire time.
Things I have already done: Replacing the SATA cable Switching the SATA slot the SSD is plugged into Plugging the SSD into another PC to verify that it can be detected (it can) Switching power connectors
What other possible options do I have? Is the SSD done for, and can I salvage the data off it if so?
Any help would be appreciated, PC issues make my brain hurt.
