TV as house warming gift?

About to pull a trigger on a 65” Samsung OLED S90D as a house warming gift. This is for a homie who always has people over and opens his house to many of us (his friends).

Thought it would be a nice gift. But I just want to make sure that I’m not imposing something that may not be the exact taste for a dream house (maybe they want a 70”+, etc.).
