It’s making me repurchase Minecraft?
I was able to play Minecraft Java edition just fine, no issues. When I first purchased the game it was entirely through the official minecraft site.
Until few days ago when the xbox game pass subscription ended, but I was still able to play the game for a few days after. I again, purchased Minecraft fully through the game website on microsoft edge.
Today when I got the "Make sure your subscription is active" message I searched it up (since I fully purchased the game through the minecraft net site, so I know I don't need the xbox pass) & the most common fix people said was repair the launcher through settings, then restart your pc, & if that didn't work (it didn't), to try uninstalling the minecraft launcher and redownload it on the official site again. When I did that, the install worked but it briefly says "unpacking" before the "you need the xbox gamepass" message still shows again.
Except NOW it says "Error" for the minecraft launcher on the xbox app through my pc. And another notification that says it installed. So is it an error or did it succesfully install??? When I go to library it also doesn't show Minecraft (the game) anymore (I'm assuming because of when I first uninstalled it).
But now on my minecraft account (through the official minecraft dot net site) nothing shows if I ever owned Minecraft in the first place??
Can someone help? Do I just have to repurache $30 for Minecraft on the site AGAIN? Is there a way I can get a refund even though it just vanished from my order history after I uninstaled the game??
UPDATE: I canceled the error installation (through the xbox app) but I still have the launcher, but it’s been stuck on “launching game” for the past 20 mins. I’m so lost on what to do. Do I just delete or uninstall the minecraft launcher entirely from the files & retry downloading it AGAIN from the official site??
