Ok. I'm hoping the good folks here can help me out on whether there is an attempt to scam or if its AI.

I will get random chat requests here on reddit. I am picky about which ones I respond to. They say they liked a post I did or a comment and decided to reach out. They seem completely normal. Ask proper questions, give answers to my questions initially. So we can be be chatting, and all the sudden they'll complain about reddits chat feature. Want me to go to WhatsApp or discord. Now I have neither. Then they start pushing me to download one. Start saying im confusing them. When I question further....no response. They stop responding. What's the game here? Is this some kind of scam or are they actually AI? I cannot figure out what the end game is here. And are they real? Anyone have dealings or insight with this?
