Any recommendations about media/stories about God’s?

I’m currently writing a superhero/medieval story, and I really want God’s to have a big part in it. The problem is that I’m struggling to find a system for these gods. I have some characters/locations that I want to have involve intervention from some kind of higher beings, but I’m having trouble trying to figure out what those higher beings actually are.

All I’m asking is for some writing advice about writing gods, and maybe some recommendations for different kinds of media that surround gods that I can hopefully draw some inspiration out of.
