Leon County Employees to Receive 5% Pay Raise

The Leon County Commission voted 4-3 tonight to give all county employees a 5% raise after property tax revenues were above projections.

Commissioners Welch, Minor, and O'Keefe voted against the measure, mostly because they supported merit-based raises up to 5% with most employees receiving a 3% raise, as the increased property tax revenues could be saved for potential looming budget cuts.
