Learning Deutsch

Die Autos 'werden' geputzt. In this sentence, we use the plural form of werden, right. But then my doubt is 'ihr' is also plural so why not use 'werdet'. I saw a lot of German learning videos and they say it like, 'ihr' is not formal plural. I still don't get it. Can somebody explain it in more simplified form. Bitte.
