Cancellation BS Support

Had a order be stolen today. Talked to support 3x about cancelling. It was my last order of the day, so I wanted to speak with a supervisor about taking the L for nothing caused by me. They won’t let you speak with a supervisor until you cancel on your end or they cancel for you, both equal an L. I asked what happens if you don’t cancel and just let the system run. They said it times out after a period of time. I tried picking up the order, and restaurant said 3 people prior came before me, and a lady picked it up at the beginning. So I didn’t cancel and just let it run and planned to all night until it timed out. I’m taking the L anyways and was the end of my day. So the customer texts after 45 mins and says I haven’t got my order. I’m like you’re kidding, so I call the restaurant and tried to get them to remake it. Reataurant said the customer has to contact Uber support and submit a ticket to remake. He did and eventually the order was cancelled on the customer side without an L on my account.

This got me thinking, when we cancel it messes with our future earnings, orders are for less for a period until the money is recouped. When the customer does, it looks like Uber has to eat the cost. These son’s of b*tches (Uber) are making drivers pay for these stolen orders with the future deal flow. Also, you can’t talk with someone that can cancel without the L till you take the L. I smell a lawsuit coming. We need a couple lawyers to do this work for a little bit and talk with the state attorney generals and start prosecuting this company. There are definitely labor violations. Safety violations. Ethics violations, etc.

It works till it doesn’t. Class action lawsuit needed to teach these son’s a b*tches to have some respect. They don’t expect anyone to test there systems and have legal backgrounds to fight back. They think we’re just lemmings. And they bury this shiz in the volume. It takes time to test and figure out how they’re doing it. Everyone takes the L and keeps moving because it takes a ton of time to figure out their processes.

Also, earnings from tips have been cut in half and BS low base now, like $12-14 hrs on average for 10 hr days. No tax on tips, yup no more tips. The paradoxical effect. It’s like they’ve calculated how to pay less because of the new tax benefit.
