Can you fly higher than 1600ft?

I live in Alaska and well there plenty of times that 1600ft won’t get me above the mountains and idk if there’s a way to bypass that limit. Maybe I can fly it up to a spot and land it and change the home location and take off again but I have yet to try that yet. I usually try to only take off and land on the landing pad I have as well.
