Need help!
Okay so I’m gonna keep this as simple as possible
I’m 19, weight 230 lbs (the most I’ve ever weighed before), and have PCOS with the chance of something else going on in my ovaries.
About a year ago I took metformin, but stopped because I couldn’t afford anymore doctor appointments to continue getting them refilled
I am making no progress with my weight loss. I don’t know what to do anymore.
I need advice. I’ve tried taking some vitamins, I’ve tried tea, hell, even before I knew I had PCOS I tried all kinds of diets, and would get 10k steps in a day. But no progress.
I don’t overeat, I drink a lot of water, I try to regulate my stress and sleep as much as possible. But honestly even with all of this it makes me embarrassed to eat, because no matter what I do I know I’m just going to gain more in the end.
I haven’t had my period in a little over 5 months either. There’s been periods of times it’s been missing for well over a year.
What do I do? I’ve seen people online talking about the shots they take to manage their PCOS, but I heard that’s expensive and actually does have drawbacks they don’t talk about. Is it worth it?
Is there anything you guys would recommend? What helped you guys?
While I may have grown to love my body over the years, I’m ONLY 19. I don’t want to lose weight to be skinny. (Yes ofc I DO want to be skinny, but that’s not my goal) I want to lose weight to be healthy.
If anyone has any tips I’d be really grateful, I just feel so lost.
