[Routine help] Cleansing with a damaged skin barrier
My barrier has been damaged from overusing a benzoyl peroxide wash so I stopped using it and have been cutting it down on the rest of my routine significantly. My problem is that even gentle cleansers still burn my face, so should I continue to cleanse or maybe stop cleansing for a few days and try to use a gentle wash again after and see how it goes? For context I have already tried the Cetaphil gentle cleanser and La Roche Posay hydrating gentle cleanser. Considering trying out Vanicream but unsure if I should do that or just try to cut cleansing out for a little bit.
