Usable outside of China?

I am considering picking up a pair of the standard Xiaomi AI glasses in Hong Kong, through grey market retailers in Mongkok. My hesitation is whether they would work in the US where I live.

I own a Xiaomi 15 Ultra so phone compatibility isn't an issue, and Xiaomi phones work just fine on TMobile. I am trying to download the Xiaomi Glasses app which is only available in Mainland China (so can't get it even in HK). Is it too risky to purchase at this point when there is no Xiaomi services of any kind in the US?
