Looking for an SUV (older reliable?)

My wife has a 2019 Hyundai Tucson and of course the THETA2 engine is burning an insane amount of oil at 80k miles, so we’re preparing to look for something before the inevitable disaster strikes. She wants a bigger SUV but everything has blown up in price last few years. I have a 2022 ford maverick I got brand new for 24k OTD (same truck is now almost 31k).

I guess I’d like to find an older vehicle that’s super reliable and can be had for under 25k, SUV and maybe 3500lbs towing capacity? My buddy had a 2002 Tahoe and it was the most comfortable car I had ever been in. While she might miss the tech, I know she’d love the Tahoe. But it’s so old so I’m just asking for some perhaps 2012-2020 SUVs that can tow more than 2k lbs and are super reliable. CRV/Rav4 can’t tow so most of those are out. CVT trans I’m nervous about but not out on either. Does anyone have any recommendations I can research?
